Monthly Donor Recruitment Campaign in the street:

We are now conducting a monthly donor recruitment campaign in the street. Every day, our fundraisers, who are dressed in uniforms and carry ID badges, are working in various locations, e.g exits of MTR and rail stations, flyovers and subways, bus stations, ferry piers or in shopping malls etc. to help introduce our poverty alleviation approach and our work to the public and recruit monthly donors to support Heifer’s project in rural China. Heifer’s supporters can complete the monthly donation form on the spots and donation will be made by credit card or bank autopay. Due to legal requirements, we are unable to accept cash donation for this program. Please note that this kind of monthly donor recruitment is the only fundraising activity conducted by Heifer in the street.

Joining Heifer’s monthly donation plan not only makes giving easier for you, but also keeps our administrative costs down so that we can pass on more farm animals that will provide more families with an ongoing source of food and income. Please support us by registering as our monthly donors!

The Joy and Tears of Heifer Fundraisers

It is no easy task working in the street every day. Let's share our fundraisers' joy and tears in this meaningful job.

"We have to stay outdoors eight hours a day, taking in polluted air, second-hand smoke and emissions from cars and also getting rejected by the citizens. In the summer, we have to bear with the extreme heat and keep sweating whole day - not everybody can stand these conditions! However, all this for me is a good opportunity to train myself to be really tough and not to give up easily when facing difficulties. I will just treat all the difficulties as challenges and overcome them. Moreover, having to chat with lots of strangers is the best way to get better at my interpersonal skills!" - Sze Ka Mung

"It is important to consider the meaning behind any job. I will do my best as a fundraiser and hope that my contribution can help reduce the population under poverty." - Cheng Pak Tung

"There are always ups and downs at work. My most unforgettable experience happened when a citizen closed his umbrella in front of me on a rainy day, just to reject my presentation! Nevertheless, I've also got lots of happy experiences. Many people recognize Heifer's work and our job. Our job is to look for these people and invite them to become Heifer's supporters." - Chiu Hung Nga
